The Brown Club of the United Kingdom is now taking nominations from those interested in joining the Board. We’re a friendly, casual group looking for new board members!

Each of the available positions has a different focus. Board members are involved in making decisions and planning events together; Board members commit to attend our bi-monthly board meetings (3 virtual, 3 in-person) and co-plan at least one event a year.

March 19 Tuesday: Meet the BCUK officers at The George and Monkey, 68 Amwell Street, London, EC1R 1UU. 6:30-7:30pm.

In-person social for anyone interested in joining the BCUK planning committee, or just come and meet other Brunonians in UK

April 28 Sunday: 12noon - 12:30pm. 30-minute drop-in zoom session

Positions:

1. Co-president (2-year term)

2. Co-president (1-year term as Cat Wallace, the current co-president, is relocating back to USA.)

3. Treasurer (2-year term)

4. Communications Officer (1-year term)

5. Young Alumni Liason (1-year term)

6. General Officer (1-year term)

Co-President: The Club Presidents generally manage the club, and share upcoming events with the club by email. 2-year commitment (1-year break clause). Candidates for co-President should have taken part in a BCUK Board Meeting or hosted an event for the club from March 2022 - February 2024.

Treasurer: The Treasurer manages the club’s accounts and helps determine our ability to put funding towards events. 2-year commitment.

Communications Officer: The Communications Officer gets our messages out on Social Media, and makes sure all of our alumni know about our exciting events! 1-year commitment.

Young Alumni Liaison: The Young Alumni liaison represents our most recent grads and their interests for the club! 1-year commitment.

General Officer: Want to commit to joining the Board, but not yet sure what shape you’d like that to take? This is the position for you! 1-year commitment.

 

Nominations end May 6. Election results will be announced latest by May 14.
