UC Santa Cruz Alumni UK in conjunction with the UC Alumni UK Network would like to welcome all UC alumni, current students and friends to attend Eureka Night: the UC Alumni UK Annual Network Kick-Off!

We hope you will join us once again for this annual evening of professional networking, and that you will enjoy forming deep, meaningful connections with the UC community in the UK. UC Santa Cruz Theater Arts Professor Donald Williams will be under the spotlight leading us through the spirit of theater and the art of facilitating camaraderie.

Professor Don Williams has over 35 years of experience in theater production, directing, performance, and mentorship at UC Santa Cruz. He founded the African American Theater Arts Troupe (“AATAT”) in 1991 and shortly thereafter, Rainbow Theater, which offers diverse and empowering theater performances. His latest production as director was Dreamgirls in March 2026. In kicking off the UK’s black history month, we are honored to have Professor Don Williams lead us and note that AATAT is one of the oldest ongoing African-American theater productions in the West Coast.

Doors open at 6pm with California-style poke bowls for dinner served until 7pm and shortly followed by drinks. The program begins at approximately 7:15pm with introductions from UC Alumni UK President Jorge Medina. UCSC Co-Presidents Ryan Chilcote and Neely Lally will briefly introduce Prof Don Williams who will guide us through light-hearted and engaging theater interactions at approximately 7:30pm.
